Join the Pajarito Environmental Education Center for the 16th season of the Backcountry Film Festival! A huge thank you to Century Bank for sponsoring this year's festival for the third year in a row. We wish that we could enjoy this annual event with you all together at the Reel Deal Theater, but this year's festival will be hosted virtually and can be enjoyed from the comfort of home!
The Backcountry Film Festival is coming to New Mexico on Thursday, January 21! Produced each year as a celebratory, backcountry community event by the Winter Wildlands Alliance, the 16th Annual Backcountry Film Festival film line-up is full of snowy, cinematic adventure sure to inspire both the local backcountry and general communities. Winter Wildlands Alliance is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving winter wildlands and a quality human-powered snow sports experience on public lands.
Through our partnership with the Winter Wildlands Alliance, funds raised at this event helps support PEEC's snow school programming! By attending these events, you're helping more kids get outside in the snow to learn about the places we love. You'll receive instructions on how to view this event virtually, starting at 6 PM MST on Thursday, January 21. You'll have 72 hours to watch the festival!
Stay tuned for more information on this year's raffle! Details on purchasing tickets will be announced soon, but we would like to thank our generous raffle donors Pig + Fig Cafe, Ruby K's Bagel Cafe, and Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op. A special thank you to this year's raffle grand prize (a pair of skis) donors: Ian, Cullen, and Chris McLean, and Paula Knepper.
